Curriculum Vitae

Studium der Soziologie und Health Communication an der Universität Bielefeld (BA Soziologie 2013, MA Soziologie 2017), währenddessen Anstellungen als wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft an der Fakultät für Soziologie und am Zentrum für Lehren und Lernen. Ab 2017 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Fachbereich Angewandte Sozialwissenschaften der Fachhochschule Dortmund (Arbeitsbereich Sozialmedizin und Public Health mit Schwerpunkt Geschlecht und Diversität, Gabriele Dennert), ab 2018 an der Universität Duisburg-Essen im qualitativen Methodenforschungsrojekt "Fragen in qualitativen Interviews" (gefördert von der DFG, Leitung: Carsten Ullrich) und ab 2021 an der Fakultät für Soziologie der Universität Bielefeld (Arbeitsbereich Geschlechterforschung, Diana Lengersdorf). Seit 2019 Promotionsstudium an der Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology mit einer ethnografischen Studie über die gynäkologische Praxis.

Current research topics

Main areas of work: Sociology of the body and medicine, sociology of gender, qualitative methods (especially ethnography and interaction analysis), ethnomethodology.

In my dissertation project I am concerned with gynaecological practice and ask about the mechanisms of producing and maintaining the gynaecological situation. The central object is the practices of professional intimacy in the profession known as "gynaecology". As a contribution to ethnomethodological studies of work, ethnographic and audio-visual data will be used to reconstruct how the work of practice staff is organised interactively, bodily-materially, technically and linguistically.
