In a cooperation of Andreas Hövermann and Eva Groß with Steven Messner (University at Albany, NY) and the Laboratory of Comparative Social Research (Moscow), the paper analyzes how enfeebled non-economic institutions shape marketized mentalities. By using data of the European Social Survey with 25 European countries the hypotheses are tested in a multilevel framework.
