My current research interests center around how computational tools and data‑intensive methods shape scientific practice. I am interested in how scientists rely on models, simulations or large‑scale data infrastructures, and in the epistemic and normative questions that arise from their development and use within and across different scientific fields.

In my work, I aim to closely connect to scientific practice. I completed my PhD at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis (ITAS) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where I was part of the PHILETAS research group and the DFG Research Training Group RTG 2450: Tailored Scale‑Bridging Approaches to Computational Nanoscience.

Beyond computer simulations in the nanosciences, I am very interested in philosophical issues in data‑intensive biomedical research. From May 2023 to April 2025, I was a member of the Section for Translational Medical Ethics at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (Heidelberg University Hospital), being involved in projects of the German Medical Informatics Initiative and the Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin (NUM).
