Frau Dr. Kajangi Gnanachandran

Dr. Kajangi is a researcher with an interdisciplinary background in biophysics, biotechnology and biomedical research. She was born in Sri Lanka, but she grew up in Italy, where she completed her MSc degree in medical biotechnology. She obtained her PhD in biophysics in Poland and has gained research experience across several European countries and in Sydney, Australia. Her research interests include cellular biophysics, mechanolobiology, tumour biology, advanced microscopy and 3D in vitro models, such as spheroids and organoids. She is currently part of the EU pathfinder project CHEM-SCAN and she investigates biological systems using advanced fluorescence imaging approaches and biosensors in the context of chemoresistance.
