I did my undergraduate degree in life sciences at National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan. Later, I switched to psychology and did a master’s and a PhD at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. My master’s thesis is about decision making, affect, and uncertainty, while my PhD research centers on the differential relationships between each major depression symptom and several aspects including demographics (such as age, employment status, and gender), personality traits, heart rate variability, and physical activity level. The research projects I have worked on encompass a broad range of topics, including molecular biology, positive psychology, abnormal psychology, animal-human relationships, and medical education.
