230359 Lessings Dramen (S) (SoSe 2008)

Das Seminar widmet sich den Dramen Lessings mit doppelter Zielsetzung. Zum einen sollen in genauer Lektüre Modelle der historischen und systematischen Dramenanalyse ("bürgerliches Trauerspiel") entwickelt werden, zum anderen dient die Lektüre einer Einführung in die literaturgeschichtliche Epoche der Aufklärung (mit entsprechenden Leitfragen). Gelesen werden Die Juden, Miss Sara Sampson, Minna von Barnhelm, Emilia Galotti und Nathan der Weise (allesamt in Reclams Universalbibliothek).

Ein Blick auf Lessings literaturtheoretische Schriften (Briefwechsel über das Trauerspiel) erschließt theoretische Konzepte der Aufklärungsdramatik ("Wirkungs- und Mitleidsästhetik"), ein Besuch des Bielefelder Theaters (auf dem Spielplan: Miß Sara Sampson) gibt Anlaß, über Inszenierungspraktiken und aktuelle Vermittlungsformen nachzudenken.
