Dieses Projektmodul soll Studierenden erste Einblicke in die experimentelle Laborarbeit im Bereich Metabolomik geben. Dazu werden kleine Forschungsarbeiten vergeben, die von den Studierenden selbständig bearbeitet werden sollen. Thematisch sind die Projekte eng an die aktuelle Forschung der Arbeitsgruppe angelehnt, welche sich im Wesentlichen der Erforschung der symbiontischen und pathogenen Mikrobien-Pflanzen-Interaktion widmet. Ein zugeordneter Betreuer überwacht die einzelnen Arbeitsschritte und leistet gegebenfalls Hilfestellung. Im Laufe der Arbeiten werden die Studierenden mit den modernsten Techniken der Metabolomforschung (z.B. Gaschromatographie in Verbindung mit Massensprtrometrie) vertraut gemacht. Das Projekt richtet sich an Bachelorstudierende und dient als Vorbereitung für eine Bachelorarbeit mit molekularbiologischem Schwerpunkt.
