Das Forschungsmodul 2 soll auf eine Masterarbeit vorbereiten.
Aufbauend auf den im Forschungsmodul 1 erlernten Techniken sollen die Studierenden unter individueller Betreuung die Versuche ihres Projektes konzipieren und ausführen. Die Projekte sind in die am Lehrstuhl bearbeiteten Fragestellungen, z.B. die Reaktion auf biotische und abiotische Stressoren, die Interaktion des circadianen Systems mit Immunantworten und der Übergang von vegetativem zu reproduktivem Wachstum eingebettet. Um das Präsentieren wissenschaftlicher Daten zu trainieren, werden die Ergebnisse regelmäßig in den Gruppenseminaren vorgestellt und diskutiert.
