220091 Emotionsgeschichte in der Moderne (19.-20. Jh.) (V+Ü) (SoSe 2021)

Was sind Gefühle? Haben Gefühle eine Geschichte? Und wie könnte man eine Geschichte der Gefühle schreiben? Diese Fragen werden in der Veranstaltung anhand ausgewählter Forschungsliteratur, vornehmlich aus der Geschichtswissenschaft, aber auch aus den Nachbardisziplinen, diskutiert. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die Bedeutung von Gefühlen in der Moderne (19.-20. Jh.), wobei hier u.a. Beispiele aus den Feldern der Politik, der Wirtschaft (Konsum) und der Sozial- und Geschlechterbeziehungen thematisiert werden. Von den Teilnehmer*innen wird erwartet, dass sie die in den Sitzungen gemeinsam zu diskutierenden Texte vorher gründlich lesen. Die Veranstaltung ist im BA-Hauptmodul Moderne den Seminaren 22090 Emotionen und Politik (Steinmetz) und 22011 Konsum und Gesellschaft (Weinhauer) zugeordnet.
