Die Lehrveranstaltung findet als 8-tägiger Block an der Litoralstation der Biologischen Anstalt Helgoland in List/Sylt statt. Die Studierenden lernen während der ersten zwei Tage charakteristische Elemente der Makro- und Meiofauna des Wattenmeeres kennen. Anschließend führen sie in Zweiergruppen fünf Tage lang selbstständig Experimente im Freiland durch; zur Auswertung gehören auch statistische Testverfahren. Die Ergebnisse der Experimente werden am Schlusstag vorgestellt. Die Veranstaltung findet während des gesamten Zeitraumes ganztägig statt. Die Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation mit der Uni Bonn statt.
