Im Pflichtmodul 6 des ersten Semesters wurden grundlegende Kompetenzen der Demografie zum Verständnis der Forschungs- und
Anwendungsgebiete von Public Health und ihre Analysemethoden anhand der Grundlagenkompetenzen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens im
Public Health Kontext vermittelt. Daran anknüpfend werden in diesem Seminar die erforderlichen methodischen Kompetenzen (demografische Analysen) vermittelt, um das Instrumentarium der Public Health Forschung auf konkrete Analysen anwenden zu können. Ziel ist die Vermittlung grundlegender gesundheitswissenschaftlicher Kompetenzen zur Vorbereitung auf die Erstellung einer eigenständigen gesundheitswisschenschaftlichen Forschungsarbeit in Form der Masterarbeit.
