Given the limited time available, we can barely scratch the surface in class; participants need to study independently and look for additional material online if they have individual areas of weakness.
This seminar focuses on those areas of English grammar and usage that present particular challenges to (already proficient) users of English as a foreign language; its main purpose is to make sure that you have the ability to use grammatical structures, collocations and idiomatic formulations appropriately and correctly in a variety of contexts, with particular attention being paid to the kind of language appropriate to an academic register.
