Die erste Sitzung am 11. April ist für alle verpflichtend.
Politik ist heute ohne Organisationen nicht mehr vorstellbar. Nur durch Organisation lassen sich vielfältige Interessen in Parteien, Interessenverbänden und sozialen Bewegungen bündeln und zielgerichtet verfolgen. Auch politische Entscheidungen sind heute nur noch mithilfe organisierter Verwaltungen verlässlich umsetzbar (bürokratischer Staat). Doch Organisationen sind nicht einfach ein Instrument politischen Handelns, sondern verändern auch die Art und Weise, wie politische Interessen und Forderungen formuliert werden und politische Entscheidungen zustande kommen können. Die zunehmende Bedeutung von Organisationen in der modernen Politik wird auch als „Bürokratisierung“ des politischen Prozesses wahrgenommen. Das Seminar fragt nach den Gründen für den Organisationsbedarf, den Formen politischer Organisation sowie danach, wie Organisationen Politik verändern. Es geht diesen Fragen in drei thematischen Blöcken, anhand der wichtigsten politischen Organisationstypen (bürokratischer Staat, Parteien, Interessenverbände und Bewegungsorganisationen) nach.
