Ziel dieser Veranstaltung ist zunächst, zum Thema 'Gewaltdelinquenz' eigene Fragestellungen zu erarbeiten und Hypothesen zu generieren. Diese sollen dann anhand der Daten des Projektes 'Kriminalität in der modernen Stadt' mit fortgeschrittenen Methoden der statistischen Datenanalyse empirisch überprüft werden. Dabei stehen methodische und statistische Aspekte im Mittelpunkt. Zur Sprache kommen deshalb sowohl fortgeschrittene Methoden und Strategien der Operationalisierung und ihrer Qualitätsprüfung wie auch fortgeschrittene Methoden und Strategien der Hypothesenprüfung.

Gruppen- und Plenumsarbeit.Lernziele und Kompetenzen
Die Studierenden erwerben die Kompetenz zur Operationalisierung theoretischer Konzepte, zur Qualitätsprüfung solcher Operationalisierungen sowie zur systematischen, differenzierten und integrierten Datenanalyse.
