The seminar aims at highlighting the various processes and procedures involved in seeking asylum in Germany. It seeks to broaden participant knowledge and understanding of these. Topics to be discussed include some basic terms and definitions, legal basis for asylum, and why people seek asylum. It also highlights the stages from applying for asylum to obtaining the refugee status among others.
