Schedules are tight, plates are full - so much to do, so much to read, so little time.
Required readings in our classes are often limited to excerpts or articles, making reading a complete text an exception. And what's to be done if the text also happens to be long, complex and difficult?
In this four-hour class we will make time to read and engage with more challenging literary and theoretical texts from US-American Literary and Cultural Studies; literary classics and seminal theoretical texts. In project format, the goal is to read at least some in their entirety and to discuss insights from the reading encounters with peers. We will also share strategies for successful reading.
