This seminar deals with the fundamental aspects of sports coaching and performance management.
We focus on important differences that exist across coaching levels (recreational, grassroots, youth development, elite), which influence performance management and evaluation for all stakeholders involved within the sports setting.
We discuss individual and team sports, benefiting from the potential transfer of knowledge among disciplines, as well as the integration of sports science experts who may compose a multi-/interdisciplinary framework.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
Students are expected to:
- be able to communicate in English;
- proactively participate and engage in discussions;
- be open-minded about different sports.
