240159 Partielle Differentialgleichungen III (V) (SoSe 2021)

Contents, comment

The course will give an introduction to the theory of optimal transport that has been rapidly developing in the last decades and has built fascinating connections to different fields of mathematics, in particular probability, geometry and PDEs. We will discuss some of the powerful applications of the theory, in particular to the gradient flow interpretation of evolutionary PDEs and (depending on the audience) to the geometry of metric measure spaces.

The lecture will take place online via Zoom. All further information and material is available in the Lernraum.
