300238 Gender, Race, and Sexuality. Understanding English original texts (S) (WiSe 2017/2018)

Contents, comment

This seminar is designed for students who are interested in studying classic texts from Gender, Postcolonial, and Queer Studies in their original English and who would like to improve their academic language skills. We especially invite students who have felt shy or have lacked the confidence to attend classes taught in English to participate in this course. Throughout the semester, we will develop strategies for understanding primary literature in English and discuss gender, postcolonial, and queer theoretical approaches.
