Das Seminar findet digital, live zur genannten Zeit & z.T. digital, im Selbststudium (online synchron/asynchron) statt.
This seminar is co-designed by Christoph Teschers, who is a guest lecturer in individual sessions.
This research-oriented class can basically be split into two parts: In the first half of the semester, educational theories will be discussed. Special attention will be dedicated on Wilhelm Schmid's concept of the 'beautiful life' which tries to connect educational philosophy with psychological research on well-being and life satisfaction. In the second part of this course, students will learn how to conduct, transcribe, and (qualitatively) analyze/interpret interviews. Students will be asked to conduct one interview - trying to empirically verify/falsify Schmid's philosophy in regular people - themselves, transcribe the results, and discuss the findings in class. Thereby, this class covers a cutting-edge topic and tries to widen the angle of already existing literature and research.
This class will be organized through the Lernraum in which content (presentation, texts, videos, podcasts) will be distributed. Apart from these asynchronous parts, zoom meetings (four through the semester) will be held to discuss the content as well as preparing students to conduct research themselves.
