Music is always a part of culture and is inextricably linked with it. In this study group, we will be discussing music, its significance and its influence in different eras and cultures. In group work, we will look at diverse cultures and periods, including today’s music culture in all its diversity, and explore its social and cultural significance.
As this is a student-led study group and not a seminar, all the participants will be fully involved every week in choosing what music, eras and cultures to explore, doing research, finding material and shaping the programme and the group’s work overall.
