This is an English for Academic Purposes course, whose main aim is to improve students´ skills in understanding philosophical texts in English, but it should also help to develop their active, and especially their speaking skills.
Particular attention will be given to difficulties students experience in reading difficult texts in English.
Texts will be chosen that are of interest to participants. There will be plenty of room for speaking English.
The course is geared towards students of philosophy and related disciplines as well as other students interested in philosophical terms and questions, which will give the course an interdisciplinary touch.
Level B1+ in the C Test or successful participation in previous English courses or similar qualifications as accepted by the teacher.
You are advised to make use of an online or printed dictionary of philosophy (in English) of your own choice.
