This seminar is primarily designed for PhD students from Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Systems Biology groups. Other guests are welcome!
In the beginning of this millennium agile software development strategies have been introduced to handle problems in the development of software for systems of higher complexity. The concept of agile development was rapidly adopted by the software development and consulting community and is still one of the mainstream strategies on the market. In 2010 J Appelo proposed to apply the theory of agile development on a more general level of organization, project and team management across all scales with his well received book “Management 3.0: Leading Agile Developers, Developing Agile Leaders”. In this seminar we will jointly read and discuss the book and work out concepts of how to apply the idea of agile management in the context of scientific research, development and teaching.
