230009 Maschinelle Sprachverarbeitung (S) (SoSe 2021)

Die automatische Verarbeitung von Texten und Dialogen ist für viele Anwendungen relevant - von einfachen Rechtschreibkorrekturprogrammen und Chatbots bis hin zu Suchmaschinen, Übersetzungssystemen oder Dialogsystemen. Das Seminar vermittelt grundlegende und praktische Kenntnisse zu verschiedenen Algorithmen und Verfahren, die solchen Systemen zu Grunde liegen. Wir beginnen mit regel- und grammatikbasierten Verfahren, die Zeichen- und Wortketten segmentieren, taggen oder parsen. Wir beleuchten dabei verschiedene Phänomene und Herausforderungen für diese regelbasierten Systeme, z.B. die Auflösung von Ambiguitäten oder das Verarbeiten eines sehr großen Vokabulars. Anschließend beschäftigen wir uns mit datengetriebenen Verfahren, die sprachliches Wissen anhand von Vorkommen von Wörtern in (annotierten) Textkorpora erschließen und für die Bestimmung von Wort- und Textähnlichkeit, Klassifikation oder Disambiguierung geeignet sind.

Requirements for participation, required level

Da wir einige der besprochenen Verfahren mit Python implementieren werden, sind Grundkenntnisse im Programmieren eine wichtige Voraussetzung für diesen Kurs.
