Die (medien)pädagogische Praxis ist geprägt von Debatten über Effekte einzelner Medien und den Gefahren spezifischer Medieninhalte. Grundlage dieser Diskurse ist die Frage nach der Wirkung von Medien. In diesem Seminar ruht der Fokus auf Theorien zur Medienwirkung. Studien zum Medienhandeln und werden dabei nur Veranschaulichung genutzt.
Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme am Seminar ist die Bereitschaft der Studierenden Texte zu ausgewählten Ansätzen zu bearbeiten, um eine Aneignung der Theorien zu ermöglichen und eine Diskussionsgrundlage im Seminar zu schaffen. Weiterhin wird von allen Teilnehmenden eine regelmäßige Anwesenheit erwartet.
Neben dem Lehrendenvortrag, Referaten sowie Gruppendiskussionen stellt die Erarbeitung einzelner Texte in Kleingruppen eine wesentliche Arbeitsweise des Seminars dar.
Eine Aktive Teilnahme ist über ein Protokoll oder ein Kurzreferat nachzuweisen.
Ein Leistungsnachweis kann in Form eines Referats, einer Hausarbeit oder eines Lerntagebuchs erworben werden.
