This course is an exploration of the English vocabulary, i.e. academic vocabulary as well as everyday vocabulary. We will be concerned with where the words of English come from, how new ones are created, what they mean and how they are used, who uses them, when, where and why.
The goal is to expand your vocabulary and increase your awareness of the choices available to express yourself.

Students participating in this class will have to give a short presentation. At the end of the semester there will be a final class assessment. Regular attendance is mandatory.
