In diesem Modul werden verschiedene grundlegende Methoden und Konzepte erlernt, um die Rolle der Organismen im aquatischen Nahrungsnetz zu verstehen. Durch die Untersuchung ausgewählter Organismengruppen geben wir einen Einblick in die Regulation (bottom up vs top down) des Nahrungsnetzes. Ausgewählte Manipulationsversuche in Mesokosmen sollen dazu dienen, bestehende Modelle zu überprüfen bzw. Möglichkeiten der Biomanipulationen kennen zu lernen. Darüber hinaus werden physikalisch-chemische Parameter erhoben, um die Bedeutung abiotischer Parameter abzuschätzen.

Durch die momentanen, coronabedingten Einschränkungen wird der Kurs in zwei Gruppen geteilt, eine Vormittags- und eine Nachmittagsgruppe, die unanhängig voneinander arbeiten. Die Einteilung wird bei der Vorbesprechung (per Zoom) vorgenommen. Nach jetzigem Stand, kann und wird der Kurs in Präsenz, unter Einhaltung der Hygienekonzepte, im Ökozentrum stattfinden. Der Kurszeitraum beträgt 6 Wochen (jeweils Mo+Di). Sollte es aufgrund der aktuellen Lage zu Planänderungen kommen, werde ich alle KursteilnehmerInnen zeitnah informieren. Alles Weitere klären wir bei der Vorbesprechung. Da erfahrungsgemäß nie alle Studierenden zur Vorbesprechung erscheinen, kann ich allen InteressentInnen nur empfehlen teilzunehmen, auch wenn noch kein fester Platz vergeben wurde. Möglicherweise können dann leere Plätze direkt vergeben werden.
