Die Forschungswerkstatt richtet sich an Masterstudierende und Promovierende, die eine empirische, arbeits- oder wirtschaftssoziologische Qualifikationsarbeit auf der Basis qualitativer Methoden der Sozialforschung in Arbeit haben.

Es geht in einer Forschungswerkstatt um die konkrete Arbeit am Projekt (etwa wie in der Lehrforschung), d.h. Arbeit am Design, an Instrumenten, insbesondere: mit dem Material. Eine solche Forschungswerkstatt bietet den TeilnehmerInnen mit Qualifikationsarbeiten die Chance, ihr Projekt in einer fachlich und methodisch einschlägigen Gruppe zu diskutieren und intersubjektiv geteilte 'Lesarten' ihres Materials zu entwickeln.

Für die Arbeit in Forschungswerkstätten gibt es allerdings auch bestimmte Regeln:
(1) Sie müssen in dem Sinne exklusiv sein, dass nur teilnehmen kann, wer auch selbst etwas einbringt.
(2) Sie haben hohen Verpflichtungscharakter, d.h. alle TeilnehmerInnen müssen regelmäßig teilnehmen.
(3) Das zu bearbeitende und zu diskutierende Material muss rechtzeitig vorher für alle TeilnehmerInnen bereitgestellt werden und alle TeilnehmerInnen müssen es vor der Sitzung lesen. Hinzu kommen noch weitere Umgangs- und Diskussionsregeln, die vor Beginn der Werkstatt den TeilnehmerInnen über das Stud.IP bekannt gegeben werden.

Requirements for participation, required level

  • Eine empirische, arbeits- oder wirtschaftssoziologische, qualitativ vorgehende Master-, Diplomarbeit oder Dissertation wurde bereits begonnen (mindestens muss ein Exposé vorliegen).
  • Bereitschaft, regelmäßig an den Terminen teilzunehmen und die Sitzungen durch Lektüre der bereitgestellten Texte oder Materialien vorzubereiten.
  • Bereitschaft, sein eigenes Projekt (Exposé, Forschungsdesign, empirisches Material, Textteile) an einem Termin vorzustellen und im Vorfeld das Material im Stud.IP bereit zu stellen.
