Herr Dr. Diogo Costa

Diogo Costa, holds a PhD in Public Health (2015) and a Master‘s degree in Health Psychology (2010) from the University of Porto and a degree in Psychology (2006) from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Currently, he works as an Associate Researcher at the Department of Population Medicine and Health Services Research, at the University of Bielefeld.
Diogo collaborated in international research networks in the areas of Social Epidemiology and Health Services Research. The themes of the projects included the promotion of mental health and mental healthcare among marginalized groups, intimate partner violence in the various stages of life, socioeconomic inequalities in health, health literacy and child mental health.
His previous work experiences were developed in Portugal (University of Porto and University of Coimbra), Angola (Health Research Centre of Angola, Bengo) and Lithuania (European Institute for Gender Equality, Vilnius).
