In three recent articles, Holger Straßheim
sheds light on the role of behavioural economics and psychology in global
public policy. He examines the global influence of behavioural expert networks,
their political implications and their relevance for understanding both the
success and failures of behavioural change approaches in public policy. One of
these papers has now been included in the "Virtual Special Issue: Public Policy
and Administration and COVID-19" by the Journal of Public Policy and Administration.
The Politics of Racism and Anti-Racism
We are happy to announce that in the summer
term 2021, Professor Mark Brown from the State University of California (CSU),
Sacramento, USA, will join the Working Group 'Political Sociology' (Holger
Straßheim). Mark will teach a master course on 'Critical Whiteness Studies in
Science and Policy' and engage in an international and interdisciplinary exchange
on the the 'History and Politics of Racism and Anti-Racism'.
