Competencies

Das Modul vermittelt grundlegende Artenkenntnis einheimischer Blütenpflanzen.
Nach Teilnahme an den Übungen sind die Studierenden in der Lage, die häufigsten Elemente der einheimischen (regionalen) Flora sicher zu erkennen und taxonomisch zuzuordnen, und unbekannte Arten unter Zuhilfenahme von Fachliteratur zu bestimmen.
Die Vorlesung vermittelt grundlegende Kenntnisse in der Taxonomie der höheren Pflanzen. Studierende kennen nach Teilnahme wesentliche Vertreter und Eigenschaften der wichtigsten (artenreichsten, wirtschaftlich und ökologisch bedeutendsten) Pflanzenfamilien der Welt und können Elemente der heimischen Flora diesen Familien zuordnen. Sie haben ein grundlegendes Verständnis vom weltweiten Vorkommen der Taxa und ihrer Lebensräume.

Content of teaching

Das Modul gibt einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Pflanzenfamilien und führt in die Systematik der Phanerogamen ein. Artenkenntnisse der heimischen Flora werden durch praktische Bestimmungsübungen an ausgewählten, saisonal verfügbaren Pflanzen vermittelt.

Im Rahmen der Modulprüfung werden unbekannte Pflanzen eigenständig bestimmt. Grundlage der Bewertung ist die Beschreibung des Bestimmungsweges bis zur angegebenen taxonomischen Ebene. Zudem werden in diesem Rahmen auch theoretische Inhalte aus den Veranstaltungen abgefragt.
Die Prüfung findet als Klausur (1,5 Stunden) oder Mündliche Prüfung (20 Minuten) statt.
