Competencies

In diesem Modul steht das Erlernen von Grundoperationen in chemischen Laboratorien im Vordergrund. Dazu zählen der sichere, saubere und genaue Umgang mit Chemikalien und Gefahrstoffen, die Fähigkeit, einfache Reaktionen und Trennoperationen durchzuführen, sowie Methoden zur Stoffcharakterisierung anzuwenden. Insgesamt ist das Modul auf experimentbasierten Erkenntnisgewinn ausgelegt.

Content of teaching

Im Praktikum werden Versuche durchgeführt zu den Themen Säure/Basen/Puffer, Heterogene/Homogene Gleichgewichte, Nachweisreaktionen, Komplexverbindungen, Oxidation/Reduktion, Kinetik/Katalyse, Reaktionen funktioneller Gruppen, Carbonylverbindungen, Chromatographie, Aminosäuren, Kohlenhydrate, Seifen/Kunststoffe. Inhaltlich werden wesentliche Aspekte der Beobachtung, Untersuchung und Messung von einfachen Phänomenen/Zusammenhängen im wissenschaftlichen Experiment vermittelt. Weiterhin werden Grundoperationen im chemischen Arbeiten anhand der Themen Titration, Säure-Base-Chemie und Redox-Chemie erlernt und Methoden zur Auswertung und Dokumentation chemischer Experimente behandelt.

Um dem experimentellen Charakter des Moduls gerecht zu werden, wird ein Portfolio aus Versuchen erstellt. Ein Versuch besteht aus:

  • Überprüfung der Vorkenntnisse inklusive sicherheitsrelevanter Aspekte (Antestat)
  • Versuchsdurchführung und Protokollierung von Beobachtungen und Ergebnissen
  • Anfertigung eines schriftlichen Versuchsprotokolls
  • Gespräch über das Versuchsprotokoll (Abtestat)
