Competencies

Verständnis und Anwendung grundlegender Konzepte und Modellvorstellungen der Chemie; Einübung chemischer Symbolsprache in Gleichungen und Strukturen.

Content of teaching

Die Vorlesung stellt grundlegende Konzepte und Modelle der Chemie vor, wie z.B. Atom-Modelle, Molekülbau und Chemische Bindung, Chemisches Gleichgewicht, Massenwirkungsgesetz, Säure/ Basen, Oxidation/Reduktion, Komplexe, Reaktionskinetik, Reaktionsenergetik. Eine Einführung in die Organische Chemie schließt sich an. Sie gibt einen Überblick über Substanzklassen, funktionelle Gruppen und deren Reaktionen. Ebenso werden im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung Themen zur Laborsicherheit im Zusammenhang mit der Durchführung von chemischen Experimenten behandelt.
