Aktuelle Forschungsthemen

I am head of the Bielefeld Phonetics Workgroup, and our research has a focus on the following topics:

  • (multimodal) prosody and speech-gesture co-ordination and production-perception coupling
  • speech synthesis (and its evaluation) in conversational and ecologically valid settings
  • speaking styles and speech phenomena in interaction
  • methods development for speech research (interactive experimental designs, gamification, crowdsourcing, automatic annotation...)

My Google Scholar Profile provides a good overview of our ongoing research, my structured publication list provides access to many full papers.
