Herr Prof. Dr. Ralf Schneider

Born in Aachen (Aix-La-Chapelle) in 1966 - studied English and Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Cologne between 1988 and 1994; 1995-1997 Research Assistant and Lecturer in English Literature at the English Seminar of the University of Cologne; PhD: University of Cologne, 1999 - Lecturer in English Literature at the English Seminar of the University of Tübingen from 1997 on, Assistant Professor after 1999 - post- doctoral degree: University of Freiburg, where he also taught between 2004 and 2005 - Professor of British Literature and Culture at the University of Bielefeld since October 2005.

Geboren 1966 in Aachen; 1988-1994 Studium der Anglistik und Romanistik (Staatsexamen für das Lehramt der Sekundarstufe II) an der Universität zu Köln; ab 1995 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Englischen Seminar der Universität zu Köln, Promotion dort 1999; ab 1997 wissenschaftlicher Angestellter am Seminar für Englische Philologie der Universität Tübingen, ab 1999 wissenschaftlicher Assistent; Habilitation 2004 an der Universität Freiburg i. Br.; 2004-2005 Privatdozent für Englische Philologie in Freiburg; seit Oktober 2005 Professor für Literatur und Kultur Großbritanniens an der Universität Bielefeld.
