Frau PD Dr. Bettina Bock von Wülfingen

Bettina Bock von Wülfingen ist seit April 2021 Vertretungsprofessorin für Historische Wissenschaftsforschung an der Universität Bielefeld. Sie hat am Institut für Kulturwissenschaft der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin 2012 mit der Schrift »Economies and the cell – conception and heredity around 1900 and 2000« habilitiert und ist seither dort Privatdozentin. In Österreich lehrt sie jährlich seit 2013 (in Klagenfurt, Linz und Wien). Sie nahm diverse internationale Forschungsaufenthalte und Gastprofessuren wahr, u. a. die Vertretung der W3-Professur für Kulturanthropologie und Geschlecht am Institut für Kulturwissenschaft 2012/13, und war 2014-18 Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Exzellenzcluster Bild Wissen Gestaltung.
Ihr jüngstes Buch ist "Die Familie unter dem Mikroskop. Das Bürgerliche Gesetzbuch und die Eizelle - eine symbiotische Beziehung, 1870-1900" (Wallstein Verlag, 2021, 400 Seiten).

Bettina Bock von Wülfingen is Stand-in Professor for Historical Science Studies at Universität Bielefeld. She is also Associate Professor at the Institute for Cultural History and Theory of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (since 2011) and lecturer in Austria each year since 2013 (Klagenfurt, Linz, Vienna). In 2012, she gained her habilitation with her second book titled »Economies and the cell – conception and heredity around 1900 and 2000«.
She assumed diverse international fellowships and guest professorships – i.a. in 2012/13 stepping in for the full professorship for Historical Anthropology of Culture and Gender at the Institute for Cultural History and Theory of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
From 2014 to 2018 she was researcher at the Cluster of Excellence Image Knowledge Gestaltung, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
