This block course is Part 2 of the project course Urban Sociology: Transition Towns. It can only be taken together with course 230826.
Using concepts and paradigms from Urban Sociology and Social Psychology, we will equip ourselves with the tools to research the organizational thrust and the practical implementation of the transition initiative in Totnes – and take our findings back to Bielefeld, the second German Transition Town.
Partial funding for this field trip has been secured, but students are expected to absorb a part of their travel expenses.
Successful completion of the course B1.2, Get Fluent, or C-Test of the Language Center (for dates please see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fachsprachenzentrum/tests.html).
