RNA structure prediction and comparison
We shortly review the manifold biological funtions of RNA, and the
prinicples of its secondary and tertiary structure. In three subsequent
chapters of the lecture, we study single sequence structure prediction
methods (both classical and recent), structure conmparison methods,
and comparative structure prediction methods. In all cases, we will
explain the underlying mathematical models, add a certain amount of
algorithmic detail, and review some state of the art tools based on these
methods.
