In this seminar, we will discuss, read and present published articles about animal social behaviour, its regulation by hormones and genes, environmental influences during development and adaptive benefits. We focus especially on topics that are relevant for our current research in birds and mammals on maternal effects, early social environment and neuroendocrine mechanisms. Students can get 2 credit points for regular active attendance, presentation of an article in the seminar and a written critique of the article.
